Hi OG,
who told us often enough that he does not want to have financial support because of dependencies in the direction of publishing roadmaps or similar or being bondaged?
There were so many inquiries so that we could create a fund to support you financially.
Not only you have creative ideas, but also the community. There are so many good ideas by people of the forum, but you always want to create the wheel new... To analyze a code and see that it eventually fits into your system with some small changes takes not longer than create all new. I see it as the false way to create new stuff, ask nobody whether it is needed or not, publish it and nobody works then with it (Ex: Bid).
Please ask the community what IS needed, then we can look, how it could be financed together. Isn't this the better way?
It's nice when you publish such lists like:
Also langer Rede kurzer Sinn - hier die wichtigen Punkte, ganz grob:
- XHTML
- neues, klar strukturiertes Backend
- Verbesserung der Usability
- echter Superuser
- Rollen
- Auto-Archivierung
- Portalmanager/Teaser
- Frontend- und Backend Plugins
- Konfiguration in Backend
- Custom Contentpart Builder
- neuer Filemanager/Assetverwaltung
- einfacheres Upgraden
- Code Aufräumen
- Dokumentation
but which priority do these points have?? That must be explained by YOU.
You are the boss, you decide, you must explain.
It is your program and it is your forum, so please don't lose sight of your users and inform the community on a (hopefully) regular basis. That's not so much work!! We only want to know about your ideas.
We should work together, not against. This has to have the most important priority!
pico only tried to simplify the installation of the endless mods that could be worth for some users. Why blocking this? He also created a (in my opinion) better looking and working setup-routine, that would help the novices in a better way installing your baby. Why blocking this?
pepe is right: Without your powerusers you could close your forum soon. Aren't you willing to avoid this possible move?
We should concentrate our forces to speed up the development of phpwcms and not to vituperate against each other.
