I like phpwcms because its nice to handle and not so feature overloaded.

Its just to big for me as well... although I have spent sometime learning it and really did love much of it..
I think that the simpler templating system in WCMS and the clean interface are what interest me more... although I wouldn't be scared away by a little more complexity.

Keeping the core fairly simple and implementing user friendly system to extend the core, may be the best way to serve a growing user base.

Yes, okay - but the question is where is the border between user friendly and too much feature.

I fully understand where you are coming from... I don't think that you need to be able to download, import and load a MOD directly from the backend.. but ease of use is important...
The ability to import a packaged MOD and turn it on and off (maybe edit the MODS config file) would be great.
These types of features seem like usefull tools in a CMS... application framework.

I haven't seen this come up in this forum yet... but I feel that WCMS could be a great application frame work powerful/flexible/andSimple ...

I don't know how many others would like to see this as the direction WCMS takes... but it is one I would fully support.
