I think it is only a pity that you did not customize the menu, it is not that difficult.
Which MOD's did you use?

I used:

{NAV_LIST_TOP:Första sidan:} for top menu
{NAV_TABLE_COLUMN} for left menu

this site has the same symptom w/ text-size (less evident in IE, but FF increases will show you).
