Post custom hacks and enhancements for phpwcms here only. Maybe some of these things will be included in official release later.

Dreamweaver Extension

Post by Sares »

Hi,

hopefully this is the right forum, otherwise please move this post.

While testing some other CMS I´ve found the well-known Mambo. First I was impressed, but after a while, I´ve found out, that it lacks of flexibility. So my search goes on until I´ve found phpWCMS. The rest is just history ... ;-)

But while testing Mambo, I´ve found some useful extensions for Dreamweaver MX / MX 2004 to simple add Mambo-specific Tags while working within Dreamweaver using a new toolbar.

What do you think- wouldn´t it be great to simply add all necessary Replacement-Tags already within Dreamweaver with a simple mouse-click? So what about a Dreamweaver extension to simple add replacement tags while designing and programming a site?

Unfortunately I don´t know how to program such an extension, but maybe others do or maybe they already exist? What do you think about this topic and who would be able to develop such an extension?

It is a very usefull idea to have an dreamweaver extension. To fill the templates within phpWCMS I always use Dreamweaver.

Are you going to build this extension??

Hi,

@cyrano:

I understand what you mean, but I think phpWCMS is great as a CMS but not necessarily as a tool for designing and developing websites ;-)

@rsantifort:

No, unfortunately I don´t know how to program such an extension that´s why I am asking.

But here is a link to such an extension where you can see how it looks like and what it does.

So long,
