Yet another newbie question(s)

1) {DATE_LONG} is generating output which I believe is German. I would like this to be English.

Everything in the interface is English, just this output seems to be coming out as German??? What file do I edit to change this to english?

2) When I am working with the WYSIWYG editor how can I add links to other articles? Do I manually have to copy and paste the URL?

It doesn't appear to work when I use content replacement tags inside the document body...are content replacement tags ONLY to be used within templates???

please look into the include/inc_conf/conf.template_default.inc.php
there you will find also all date settings!

and for internal links!

look here you can use [ID] or the [INT] tag!
