{NAV_TABLE_COLUMN} in IE?

Post by Agent Becker »

Hi guys:

This is something that only happens under Windos with IE6, with "hidden" Categories:

http://www.arnold-extern.de/index.php?id=57,22,0,0,1,0

Notice the NAV_TABLE_COLUMN busts the layout?!? Argh!

If I unhide them... everything is normal:

http://www.arnold-extern.de/index.php?id=58,33,0,0,1,0

Problem is, I don't want to show the category, just the content with an article_menu

Any ideas?

Any idea for a workaround?

Anyone?

If I have to rearrange my whole site structure, i'll be sad, my customer will be mad, and.....

BTW: What's the difference between a bug and known problem?!?

Hi,

Has anyone figured out a solution to the Nav_Table_Column issue with IE. I have the same problem and the site looks bad when navigation using Internet Explorer.... take a look: http://automationgi.com/phpwcms/index.p ... ales_goals. If someone knows a solution... please let me know.

Bye.

use the new DEV Release (DEV 1.1.2) with the replacement-tag
{NAV_LIST} instead or use this mod: --...--/index.php/topic,59.0.html

Brans,

Thank you... I was up late last night and could not get it to work... I opted for a right block layout that makes it a bit more appealing when using IE> I know this is not the optimal solution but will have to do for now... Your feedback on my site are greatly appreciated!!! http://www.automationgi.com

hmm I think your site is very confusing. When watching the front page there is no clear focus. You should really create some sort of focus, which means:

visitor comes to your site and the most important thing is "jumping" directly into his eyes.
http://www.laax.com/go/de/ see the right, where you can choose wether you are a "family", "snowboarder", "ski driver". the most important information is shown in the flash animation in the center of your eyes focus. Remember, that your eyes will go from the right to the left and from the middle to the top. So things on the middle, right will be seen first, if you give them red colour, eyes will stop and put their focus on them.

Make this "Free Trial" thing coloured instead of moving, ppl will recognize it and it doesn't disturb after a while as it does now.

In general: Try to bring some order into your frontpage is far too overloaded atm.
