Existing Extension to SPAW, can anyone implement it?

Post by RonDog »

Anyone here who could extend the SPAW editor like Contenido does it?

I tried out Contenido and found a superb extension of the SPAW editor, but my PHP knowledge is too small to implement this into the SPAW editor of phpWCMS. But I would need this extension desperately to ease the handling of pre-defined forms by my customers.

This extension allows using predefined templates, such as tables, text modules and the like, and have them loaded into the editor.

I think such an extension will be appreciated from almost any phpWCMS user…

This is how it looks like:

And this is the download address of the version that holds that extension:

http://heanet.dl.sourceforge.net/source ... -alpha.zip

>>>copy & paste the link<<<

Besides of this, is there a way to widen the text area of the SPAW editor? Working with large text is somehow cumbersome with such a small peephole window.

Hi RonDog,

nice addon feature of SPAW.

SPAW is still integrated in phpwcms, but I think not that additional feature...

Hope someone can help more detailed.

perhaps a solution:

download package (link doesn't work) and search for the spaw folder, then copy this to the inc_ext folder and give this a try...

I looked at both installations, and there are a lot of differences in some control files. Basically the editor is the same, I could try this out (copy the core) but I think I’ll get troubles only…

That’s why I am looking for someone who knows this thing inside out and could implement it literally in no time…

The link works fine! I copied the link and pasted it into the address line of firefox, and the download started immediately...

I copied the core of SPAW (class, config, dialogs & lib) from the Contenido Source, no real crash, but this result:  and no editor...

Code: Select all

Warning: main(/home/htdocs/web0/html/phpwcms2/include/inc_ext/spaw/config/../../../../includes/startup.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/htdocs/web0/html/phpwcms2/include/inc_ext/spaw/config/spaw_control.config.php on line 16

Warning: main(): Failed opening '/home/htdocs/web0/html/phpwcms2/include/inc_ext/spaw/config/../../../../includes/startup.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:') in /home/htdocs/web0/html/phpwcms2/include/inc_ext/spaw/config/spaw_control.config.php on line 16

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: cinclude() in /home/htdocs/web0/html/phpwcms2/include/inc_ext/spaw/config/spaw_control.config.php on line 18

Guess we have to wait for the experts... and I hope they'll come soon...

I saved the Contenido Source of SPAW here:
