embed a template in a template

is possible to embed a template in a other template???

for example:

I create a template and in the header area I put my "header" for all my pages...

then in another template I put in the header area a "link" to the "header" template

I hope any understand what I mean

i think i understand what you mean! but this is not possible execpt you create 2 different templates.

I have two identical templates barring some js to load and some on load in another.

i have some rollover images i use on the frontpage, but for some reason the new template i made is not showing up in the article section.

how do you change an articles template.

all that is available is - default or sample.tmpl

I certainly second that - e.g. Expression Engine over at pmachine.com supports embedding templates and it is very useful for all stuff that is common to a website - would be a nice feature for the next release!!??
