So... I've read the docu trying to make heads and tails of the status options 'visible' and 'public' but all it says is that they should be checked if I want to show my content.
Is there any difference between these two options? If I just check one of them, will that change the behaviour in any way?
The reason I'm asking is that I've been asked to hold a training seminar about PHPWCMS and I am trying to describe all the different options in the system and this one just baffled me. (I've personally just followed the docu and checked them previously...)
What's the difference between 'public' and 'visible'?

It is more a historic reason. Both do nearly the same at the moment. Public was planned to be used for special intern usergroups (which are not implemented) because phpwcms was first kind of intranet application.
