I initially installed PHPwcms off the web server's doc root and decided that I really liked it and that I would set up a virtual host for it and give it it's own file structure, so I deleted the install. At this point it all worked correctly until the deletion.
After creating the directory where I wanted the new install to live, i ran /setup/setup.php and the path at the top still shows it being in the old location, even though in theory /home/httpd/Primary/html/wcms/ no longer exists! The path should be /home/httpd/wcms/html/
This is clearly fouling up the install as non of the required folders will be found in the last step of the install. Has anyone run into this in the past?
I have dropped and created the database numerous times, and even let PHPwcms create new tables, even though the path info was wrong.
I'm trying to install theis software on SME 6.1. It's basically a red hat linux distro. Please, has onyone seen this in the past?
Installation path problem
Got it
Well it seems that DocumentRoot is read from the httpd.conf settings rather than the actual location of the script. I created a symlink to my install directory off the DocumentRott, and all went as it was supposed to.
I am now getting started with the default phpwcms.de template just to get started. Hopefully, it won't be too hard to come up with my own designs.
