article summary

can somebody help me?

i ran into some problem whenever i enter max characters for summary on the updated version 1.3.3 of phphwcms under 'article menu'. the error goes something like this...

Warning: cannot yet handle MBCS in html_entity_decode()! in /home/public_html/asosonline/include/inc_lib/general.inc.php on line 1246

does anybody know what this all about? i'm no programmer really.

Hi indaype,
hmm, strange...
what did you type for 'max characters'???

only plain [text] numbers are allowed and suggestive.


Multibyte character set is something for the programmers (C++ and so on) but not phpwcms related.

I tried the numbers 500 and 1000... but gives me the error message.

is this wrong?

hey, summary!!!!

should have around 100 characters or so

try 30, 40 --> much smaller....

err...just tried that as well but 30-40 is just like 4-5 words...but it does show the summary texts however there are those error message lined up above it...

this is where i entered the max characters for summary, under content type > article menu
