newby, and suitability of phpwcms for revamps

Post by gwilym »

Hi. newby here. I run three sites which are a) old and tired and b) busy! too busy for me to keep uploading all those pages. I am looking to revamp the sites, and want to use CMS to pass on the content work to the site owners. Thing is, I know nothing about CMS apart from it looks as if it will be my salvation...Am I choosing the right one, or should I look further?
Could some one take a quick look at this site -www.englishmozartensemble.com - and tell me if the siteowners requirements...CMS on home page and concerts...is possible with this programme? I would love to think I'm not to old to learn. The site has been a success, selling lots of tickets for their concerts, and I am happy to help if its not beyond me.
thanks guys and girls

suits perfect

built one page template first (hardcoded as to be seen already on your page) with header pics footer and so on. strip variable parts and use {CONTENT}, (RIGHT), (LEFT) and even your own blocks, to place content anywhere you want.

afterwards phpwcms is a great tool to keep your content actual, with newsletter modul and much more on board.
