How to disable update warning in backend

Hi all,

I have this warning in the backend:
phpwcms Version Information

Your installation does not seem to be up to date. Updates are available for this version of phpwcms, please visit http://www.phpwcms.de/forum to obtain the latest version.

The latest available version is phpwcms 1.3.0 (2007/03/06). You are running phpwcms 1.2.8 (2006/09/05).

For the latest information on updates to phpwcms, why not subscribe to our mailing list.

However I am fully satisfied with the current version, but not with this warning, how can I disable this warning?

new release have setting:
$phpwcms['version_check'] = 1;

you use release 1.2.8 - such setting does not exist there.

Setting is set in conf.inc.php.
