Stuck on step 2 of installation.

Post by Martin_NL »

Before i started the setup i made a new database.
After step 1 i can see that tables are made in the new database.

But at step 2 i cant make a administrator account
when checking the checkbox. I only get the
message please check admin username and password.
(continue the setup without the checkbox works, but then i cant login
because i don't have administrator account.)

I did search the forum and saw some people with the same problem, but all those sollutions suggested there won't work for me.

Can someone please tell me what i can do to solve this problem?

Make sure you have left the [default] username and password... you can change it later.

Hi

check the File Permissions in Setup-Folder - if setup.conf.inc.php is not writeble, the Setup can't remember the Logindata for Database ;)

I already did, after step 1 when i open the setup.conf.inc.php file,
i can see that my SQL settings are already there.

Solved the problem deleted MySQL v5 and installed v4.1.
Now it is working.

To be sure i installed v5 again, and again i did not work.
So i installed v4.1.

Anyone a suggestion why its not working with v5?

Turn on all errors and notices. Check the logs. Something must be catching an event somewhere?
