view subcategories on main category page

Hello, I have several categories, one of which has two subcategories, which then hold articles. I want to be able to click on the Main Category, and have it display both subcategories, then the user can click on whichever they wish and see the articles below them

I couldn't find it anywhere in the docu and I did a few searches in the forum.

at the moment it's not possible to view an full collapsed menue.
maybe it's enough for you via {NAV_TABLE_COLUMN:X}
