I think that it is of course not very gentleman like to cut out the copyright notices and in additon it's not allowed by the GNU and NOT the idea behind OPEN SOURCE.
People who are mention that it's more cool to remove this tags are normaly non professionals. Professionals are living from the open source idea and stand behind it. They don't have to cheat, because they can rebuild such a system all time if they must caused of any reason.
So please stay cool about this topic. It's probably not the first time that this happen to phpwcms and it won't be the last.
