Beginner problem with downloads section

Post by ldavies83 »

Thanks for the great CMS system, I'm having a lot more fun with this than I was with PHP-Nuke!

I'm having one problem though, I'm unable to work out how to display the public folder on the website under a structure link, am I missing something?

If someone could show me how to do this, that would be great.

Just to clarify, I've uploaded a DOC and a PDF, made them publicly visible, and wish to have a "Downloads" area, where the 2 files are shown.

Thanks,

L.

hehe, sorry for the little chuckle - you weren't suposed to hear me :)
but it's only lunch time and your clocking off.
once you have uploaded the file (image) you are then in a posision to USE that file within an article vie one of the content parts or with a replacement tag.

e.g.
upload a file to you public folder that will be offered for download to everyone. create an article then add a 'file list' content part. by clicking the browse icon you can browse the public folders within the new popup window that has appeard.

magic :)
