FCKeditor ...error when using image resources browser

The CMS is working great except today for no apparent reason the WYSIWYG editor won't let me click "Browse Server" in the image properties dialog box. I get a blank window where the files should be, along with this error message:
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
The server didn't send back a proper XML response.

Any ideas? Like I said, this worked great last week, and I have been at a computer since....hmmmm

EDIT: also found it does this in IE7 but not FF.

If you can understand a little bit german you are able to read the discussion. I had the same problem like you. After a new start of my system and a new web connection with my router it worked without problems.
