Upgrade 1.3.0 > 1.3.3
Just wondering if there is a simple set of directions for a dummy like me? Do I start by uploading all the new files on top of the old ones? This seems dangerous so I'm checking. Some guidence would be most appreciated. Thanks.
backup files AND database first
No matter what you do, first backup all your files and the database.
Then copying the files over the old ones, and running setup in the setup directory should be ok.
This is all true if you havent used any 3rd party hacks or enhancements.
I usualy just copy the files, run the update.sql files in the setup directory and then replace the conf.inc.php aswell as conf.template.default.php in the config/phpwcms directory as well as replacing the css files in the template directory.
This all works for me as i tryu not to use the hacks and enhancements to much. (Taking the upgrade options into consideration)
