install instructions:
extract the templateswitcher.php file to the root directory of your phpwcms installation

usage instructions:
simply create an contentpart text and place the following php code inside:

Question is there a script where the user to change the template ? like to change the color of the template?

Hallo Erich,

ich habe nun erstmalig heute, - da ich die wenige Freizeit lieber für mein Hobby verschwendet habe -, den TemplateWizard in einer eigenen Testinstallation (1.2.8g) verwendet. Sozusagen meine beiden FavoritenTemplates zzgl. dem Wizard und dann die erste Fremdinstallierung. (PEPES Tutorial)
Bedauerlicherweise werden die Bilder immer nicht in den Ordner Templates übertragen, ansonsten klappte alles besser als nur die Türen. Aber es bewegt mich nun doch, weshalb diese Bildchen per Hand zu übertragen sind ... habe ich da etwas überlesen

Und wenn ich die Bilder per FTP übertragen habe, dann erscheinen einfach einige nicht, obwohl diese im richtigen Ordner, (casesensitiv wurde beachtet) übertragen wurden. Mein FTP-Programm zeigt diese als Thumbnails korrekt an und die Bildeigenschaften entsprechen korrekt denen in den Verzeichnissen in /Template.
Hast Du da eine Idee

Auch die Screenshuts habe ich per Hand nachinstalliert, jetzt sind diese in der Vorschau zu sehen!

PS.: Anhand des Layout_07 habe ich es noch einmal gemacht mit gleichem Ergebnis:



Nach der beschriebenen "Handarbeit" sieht es ersteinmal besser aus!


Und nachdem ich Layout_07 auch noch einmal mit dem TplWiz installierte und per Hand via FTP das gesamte Verzeichnis nach Template verschiffte kam ein richtiges Ergebnis zustande.

Dagegen sieht Pepes Seite nach dem ersten versuch halbwegs o.k. aus ...


Müssen die gesamten Verzeichnisse nun doch per Hand via FTP überspielt werden?

Dont know phalancs, one of these projects i ever began an left it unfinished. The thing is easy: Blob vars from template Table entry into phpwcms Vars and back, all in all only 2 directives. ( Serialize <-> Unserialize) The thing is : Security. How cone one avoid bad code injection by a completed downloadable foreign Template ? As good as not in my opinion.

Well thank you for your clarification. basically its the usual problem: the biggest security issue is sitting in front of the monitor
But: for us pro users it can be a time saver. we could manage our own library of themes and just secundarily might share
them with others.

Ok, since i am working on a bigger project right now i think i will have a look. This might come in handy and i really dont
understand why such a gift never got implemented!
