Something strange

Post by miershpedankl »

I seem to have a growing amount of issues here.... can someone help??

I've been discussing an issue with flip-flop about my db at http://www.phpwcms.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12158, but now I am having a strange problem. When I visit my site I am taken to an older version of the site. A version that, as far as I know, isn't even published anymore. The url: http://the-lee-family.us should take you to: http://the-lee-family.us/index.php?emilyhope but it doesn't... at least every once in a while. The only way to make it go to the right page is to login to my site. That's all. After I log in if I pull up my site in another window it is directed to the right page.

Does this make any sense at all?? I was trying to rewrite my url's, so would that have messed things up like this??

Strange,

Sounds as you are having some pages set to non-public. So check the green marks - when you are logged-in the backend you have more rights.

Thanks Oliver. :) It actually ended up being that I changed the caching ability to "1" in conf.inc. For some reason it made the older site come up. Is there a good explanantion for that that I can learn from?

Cheers,

Disable caching - it's also removed from current release because it has produced a lot of funny results :)

no! Do not delete that table - it will be used for other things - you can empty the table.
