File center problem

Post by Pieter »

It is no problem to create a directory using the file center.

Howeverm when I try to upload a file I get the following error:
Error while writing file to storage (1)
Please dont try again - this is an server error! Contact your webmaster as soon as possible!

How can I see what went wrong ?
All the access rights were set according to the installation instruction (although some errors remained after executing set up, but they could be ignored according the that same installation page)

That did it
Should I check if the subdirs of the other directory's of which I had to change the file attributes during installation, have the proper access rights ?

I found that it can be different depending on your situation. The best thing to do is change them as you need them. For example when I installed on my personal site I didn't really have any problems but when I did a install for some work projects on the office servers I had to make some changes. I am not really sure why but that was the case. The best thing to do is make notes what changes outside of the install instructions so others might be able to find out how you got your permissions to work.

Good Luck!

Change chmod to 777

Post by najbo »

Hi,

I had the same problem and solved it simply by changing chmod of directory php.._filstorage to 777.
