PDF on the fly - PDF Export

Post by fellchen »

Hi guys and girls,

we need a function called pdf on the fly, hmm? In some others CMS (no names) the function is integrated. To print a page (content) into a pdf file we need a tag like the [PRINT]Print preview[/PRINT] tag.

I think that would be helpful for some people, or not?

Hi frold,

your link to this thread isn't very helpful, because there is no full script posted what gives us the [PDF]PDF Export[/PDF] tag and what makes pdf files open in a new window.

Hallo und Liebe Grüße

Ich wäre auf jeden Fall auch an einer Funktion "PDF on the fly" interessiert.

Hello,

I used to use a script called dixit cms (php) years ago (2003?) which had a little addon for generating pdf on the fly. I don't remember the ability for supporting png or gif or jpg... but I still have it somewhere in my computers caverns ;-) I think it relies on fpdf...
If you are interested I can put it online so you can download and check it out.

Anyway - support for pdf on demand with eg alpha transparency support would be great (*dobes writer isn't able to do that, is it?)
Greetings

Hello

there is a way without installing any server module:

Needs some brainstorming and might be a great hack ...

Hi all,

who has already some experiences with pdf export using fpdf library?

PHPMYFAQ has such a function integrated that also uses the fpdf lib, so it seems to be not that difficult... ???

Perhaps anyone is able to adapt the print.php by Goran that provides some marks in the template (startprint and stopprint)...
