Problems after installation

Post by Marlon_Br »

Hi I´m trying to install phpwcms_1.2.5-DEV at my home machine where I´m using: Windows xp, PHP Version 4.3.10, MySQL 4.1.9 , Apache 1.3.33

I followed the Installation guide and everything went fine. But when I try to run the system on (http://localhost/phpwcms/) I get:

Notice: Undefined index: layout in c:\phpwcms\include\inc_front\content.func.inc.php on line 159

Notice: Undefined index: errortext in c:\phpwcms\include\inc_front\content.func.inc.php on line 278

Notice: Undefined index: maintext in c:\phpwcms\include\inc_front\content.func.inc.php on line 284

Notice: Undefined index: headertext in c:\phpwcms\include\inc_front\content.func.inc.php on line 301

Notice: Undefined index: lefttext in c:\phpwcms\include\inc_front\content.func.inc.php on line 307

Notice: Undefined index: righttext in c:\phpwcms\include\inc_front\content.func.inc.php on line 307

Notice: Undefined index: footertext in c:\phpwcms\include\inc_front\content.func.inc.php on line 313

Notice: Undefined index: htmlhead in c:\phpwcms\include\inc_front\content.func.inc.php on line 584

Notice: Undefined index: jsonload in c:\phpwcms\include\inc_front\content.func.inc.php on line 630

Notice: Undefined index: css in c:\phpwcms\index.php on line 164

I noticed that in the manual it says to put the finished configuration file into "include/inc_conf" but there is no such a folder named:
inc_conf on the phpwcms version (phpwcms_1.2.5-DEV) that I´m trying to install.
I don´t believe it would have made a difference but I don´t have the Image/Magick or GhostScript installed either.

After the installation process the only thing I did was to:

place the file ./setup/setup.conf.inc.php in ./config/phpwcms Renamed the default conf.inc.php — then renamed setup.conf.inc.php to conf.inc.php.
And deleated the setup dir.

I get the login page (http://localhost/phpwcms/login.php) fine but when I try to log in I get the HTTP 404 error.

Can someone tell me what could be happening? Thanks

Hello

You see : c:\phpwcms\include\inc_front\content.func.inc.php

should be htdocs/phpwcms/include/inc_front ....

problem with the apache config.

My personal tip: xampp by http://apachefriends.org

or :) read apache manual :roll:

Ja da war ich doch etwas langsamer, aber zwei Menschen mit der gleichen Meinung lassen ihn nun wissen, mit xampp gehts.

Maybe the problem could be that I got php, mySql and Apache installed using EasyPHP.

hmmmm ... there is something said in your fav. installation easyphp:

In order for your scripts to be executed, you must place your files in the "www" directory. The Apache server is configured to automatically open an index file when you enter the address 'http://localhost/' (Apache must have been started). This page is the default start page, it's the proof that EasyPHP is running. You are advised to create a directory for each project inside the "www" directory; so you can easily manage all of your developments.
----

as in your manor: www\phpwcms\
make sure to rerun setup after copying new installation material

hmmm ? :wink:

Hi

don't copy the setup.conf.inc.php to somewhere
on the last Page of the Setup you will find a Text-Link where you can read 'downlad created config File' do that and copy the downloaded File to ../config/phpwcms/..

I´m using the path: http://localhost/phpwcms/ where c:/webprojects/www is my server root. The http://localhost/ url is fine, it acctually runs an index.php file that I have there.

But I´m still getting the same error on: http://localhost/phpwcms/

Hi

if Login is working? just create a simple Template and the Notices will gone. Or set the Error-Reporting-Level in your php.ini like this
error_reporting = E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE
this is just a Notice that there is no Layout etc in your phpWCMS-System - and this is true if you haven't create a Template and at least one Article.

This does not look right. Should be something like this:

Code: Select all

// site values
$phpwcms["site"]              = "http://localhost/";

// paths
$phpwcms["DOC_ROOT"]          = $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'];
$phpwcms["root"]         	  = "phpwcms";         //default: ""

Ok my error_reporting variable on php.ini was already set to that value: E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE I also tried changing the value of $phpwcms["site"] to "http://localhost/" and "http://localhost/phpwcms"
and still got the same error. About my login page on http://localhost/phpwcms/login.php
The page renders fine, if I enter the wrong pass or user name I get a message in red saying:
Error during the start of the session.

BUT if I enter the correct user and password I still get the: HTTP 404 error.
Now, about creating a simple Template, I want to give it a try, (at this point I´m trying anything) but how do I go about doing that? Whre do I get it? The installaton guide never mention anything about creating a template to make the system work.
