Creating forum from beginning?

Hi
I won’t create forum. But I don’t know how to do that. I know there are many people want to crate forum from beginning. I don’t like forum as phpbb or ipb forum. I just want a simple and nice forum. Now I wonder if there are some users here want to crate forum from beginning and to integrated whit phpwcms?

Forum should have:
Admin area
User and guess can start topic and post message.
Ban settings.
Crate and delete forum.

Topic list should show:
Topic name, started by, date, time, last post by.

Topic post should display:
Post 1: Topic name, started by, date, time,
Message:
________________
Post 2: Posted by, Date, Time,
Message:

I also want forum name always display left or flap similar staff in top of the topic list and post pages
Database is SQL

This is just an example forum, and if you have any more idea just posts it here. The important is to crate nice and cleaned from unnecessary details forum to integrate whit phpwcms.

And off corse no (Powered by) text.

Any idea?

maybe not all listed but most

it give a lot of forum(s), discussion boards, bulletin boards outside ... also some under opensource licences ...

and every week are new ones started and others go dead ... i've seen since '98 as the ubb free was not continued a lot of projects come and go ...

it should be more interesting to work continiously on a established project then to make every day a new one ...

my favorite bbs under an opensource licence (GPL) is 7thbbs and i know the headcoder like good ideas etc. talk with him.

Why another BBS? Short and clear: The main design goals are (besides speed) useage of high end technology, object orientation, easy integration into other sites and clean code.

Ben: tanks! But I have tried to install that and didn’t work as I wont. First of all, guest can’t post as I know? And second is I won’t cleaner those forums. I looking for forum more like this one from http://www.artmedic-phpscripts.de/index ... =968760057

I have downloaded this and installed that on localhost. But I can’t understand any thing because all text is on Germany! And I don’t think guest can post (only registered user), I think!.

I just want to crate clean forum. And all that technology as pm, or weaved by user stuff? Please phpbb and ipb! We already know what technology can do! Just want a cleaner forum for just post and start topic.

Way cant all phpwcms user start crate our one forum here to integrated white wcms? I think we can do that!

the look of a forum, board or bbs is only from the skin, style or template ...

you can custumize the look by yourself, about the quality of the used script that tells nothing ...

same is with cms ...

and ajax is a nice thing for playing, same with the most web 2.0 idiotic ideas ...

i remember a java run ... i remember a xhtml strict run and lots more ...

time would show whats used realy over long time ...

As I understand is there are no forum for me on the net. I have started to customize ibp forum, not only just skin, but also layout, so that can be integrates to my other pages in wcms. Its hard work but the layout almost finished. And maybe this forum can be something good

Well I think the layout and visuals are things that shoul dnot be the focus here. I guess you can have any forum look the way you want.

The only thinkg that is necessary is a brisge between a forum script and phpwcms usermanagement.

This is an old topic and the project maybe is down because it was hacked for some years ago, don’t know. I made hole new layout for forum. Base for it was ipb and all forums always display as link to left, side bay side with topic to right when its was open. It was very nice but after hacking and upgrade to last version then I never had any time for it, design and all that stuffs again. Don’t use forum at all now
