Functionality Question?

Post by sarah w »

Hi there,

I have few functionality questions :

1. How many administration levels does PHPWCMS offer? (only 2 in documentation - admin and author)
2. Can I do multiple FTP uploads (ie: ftp more than one image at a time?)
3. Does it have XML output?
4. How much can the interface be customised (colour/ layout and logos?)
5. Does it have a search function?

Thanks - would be good to have feedback on above by user/ developer.

Sarah :)

Hi sarah and welcome to phpwcms forum

as for your question;

1. How many administration levels does PHPWCMS offer? (only 2 in documentation - admin and author)
You're right, atm only two categories, admin or author
User groups is still under development,
Future: there will be backend users and frontend users, multiple levels

2. Can I do multiple FTP uploads (ie: ftp more than one image at a time?)
Yes you can, just upload whatever you want in phpwcms_ftp folder, then in backend you can store it in your admin file center (as many as you want).

3. Does it have XML output?
Not as a standard feature but some people (search forum) are busy with it I think.

4. How much can the interface be customised (colour/ layout and logos?)
Everything, this CMS is by far the most customizable I've seen (look in sites you're proud of section you'll see)

5. Does it have a search function?
Yes, and with enchanced functionnalities for future (like don't search here, search only there and so on...)

Cheers

Hi

for XML output you can use the RSS Function - it's almost XML I think ;)
