phpwcms permissions - phpgacl ?

Post by fbatista »

hi all !

I suggested the use of phpgacl for the permissions of the groups, users, features... of phpwcms.
The phpgacl is a very powerful tool.

what it is that you say?

Why? it is very complicated? it use ADOdb ?

- The phpgacl has a cache for queries.

Some programs exist that use phpgacl :
example: dotProject http://www.dotproject.net/

Seems to be one of very few packages "focused" in this area, but I have to laugh, only because of the thread's title:
Topic: Why Joomla! should not use original PHPGACL to enhance its ACL features.
As a side note,
It would be ~interesting~ to try to "fold" phpWCMS into a framework like CakePHP ( http://cakephp.org/ ).

No No No! No mixture with other external packages for such an important theme. And please - NO - framework.

OK.
The politics is then not to use external package to phpwcms.

Which is then roadmap for the permissions for phpwcms?

there is no real roadmap - asap. But concept is ready. All I need is time to implement it.

Hm, looks smart but makes no sense in total. Is just another way of setting or comparing permissions.
