firefox plugin - search the phpwcms forum via your browser

Post custom hacks and enhancements for phpwcms here only. Maybe some of these things will be included in official release later.

firefox plugin - search the phpwcms forum via your browser

Post by frold »

I have made this small plugin

http://www.studmed.dk/files/phpwcms.zip

Unzip and place the file and pic in:

C:\Programs\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins

Then you can search phpwcms from anywhere on the net - no need to go to phpwcms.de/forum - the plugin do the job ;-)

Its handy ;-)

(but why not using the phpwcms icon up there?)
Completeness is reached through subtraction, not through addition

One question: do you know where to increase the size of the box? (I like it bigger so I see if I type i.e.:
"I am searching for a nice plugin made by Frold"
I like to see the beginning of my query (a f* detail I know but... :D

Cool Frold, thanks.

For the Mac users of FF:
To install the search extension, hold the control-key and klick on the application Firefox. Select "Show package content" in the contextmenu (in German it's "Paketinhalt anzeigen", dont have an english OS).
Open "Contents/MacOS/searchplugins" and place the two files phpwcms.src and phpwcms.png from frold inside the folder - thats it
