I have splinted this thread - if you are discussing about current political world - please be friendly. Don't be too emotional and do not affront others. Try to think about before you say something :D

Maybe I'm just a cynic, but I believe that Bush is well focused on an agenda that isolates the US from the rest of the world, delivers unrealistic budgets that will EXPLODE after his term in office, dramatically underfunds priorities such as education, paints corporate pollution give-aways in terms such as "Clear Skies" (an effort to gut Clean Air Standards) and "Healthy Forrests" (giving a free-for-all to clear old growth forrests in the US) and delivers tax relief for the wealthiest few.

I'm stepping off my soapbox now.

Dear sporto,

President Bush has no agenda.
United State was attacked and more than 3,000 innocent man woman and children were viciously murdered.

We are living in a different time. Our enemies are not using the acceptable rules of engagement. They kill innocent civilians and terrorize the masses.
There is only one way to deal with that kind of enemy. You'll take the fight to them and President Bush is doing just that.

The Terrorist are not just attacking the United States. They are attacking Freedom and Freedom Loving People. :?

Regards,
Bijan

is 3.000 the masses?

Enemies... sometimes I´m scared about US.. Instead of seing enemies all around the world, why not see possibilities?

I think US over-react!

If there wasn´t all the social trubles in the 3th world I´m sure there was alot less "enemies".. All the money spent in the Iraq was used better - I think!

Nobody can applause the dead people of the 9/11 - but this has dramatically changed the world. Violence is no answer.

Remember who has pushed islamic terrorists during the cold war. It was the USA. Who gave them weapons and power? Here are some stations in a very very long line: Korea, Vietnam, Nicragarua, Afghanistan, Iraq. The world is blooding - and it seems that there is NO end.

In world's eyes the USA is fixed on itself. 9/11 brought aggression in front of your door - you are not far away anymore. That is what was shocking for US people. But think about: this is what happens outside USA every day to many innocent people.

The US way will not solve one problem they tell they do. When US is leaving Iraq a civil war will start. Another whole region is destabilized.

I really think this could go on a bit longer BUT....

Thank you everyone for your views and thoughts, I have read some very interesting and thought provoking observations from all contributors.
and now I think that should be all for today ;)

I really think this could go on a bit longer BUT... We are all friends here and should not hold our views against others ESPECIALLY as we have a great community developing right on our 'virtual door step'.

a new line for all maybe?
