@pappnase

it's the WS_FTP pro 8.0

i've not deleted the "old" files - i've just said to overwrite the existing ones - is that perhaps the problem?

hello melek

if it's possible i would say delete all and reinstall all or use the 1.2.1 version! think qould be the simplest way.

hi all together...

so now i've just deleted the whole old version from my server and wanted to upload the new files. I'm wondering - there is no "phpwcms_tmp" folder in the 1.2.1 distribution... is this correct???

cheers

did you check the Pathes in conf.inc.php

think it have to look like this:

Code: Select all

$phpwcms["site"]              = "http://www.schmidag.com/";
$phpwcms["admin_email"]       = "";

// paths
$phpwcms['DOC_ROOT']          = $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'];
$phpwcms["root"]              = "/cms";

THANX for all replies

@pico
all code was fine

@pappnase
i've downloaded filezilla :wink: and did the whole procedure again (including deleting the tables in the db and so on...). I've also done the whole installation routine you've described one the docu-page, with the result, that all rests unvisible. In the attached pic you see, the "login" page or even not... but in the status bar you see, that there is smthg working but no visual output.

who has an idea what's going wrong? or shall i go back to ver. 1.1 RC4?

thanx a lot for your inputs!

think that it is NOT the Login-Page - the Adressline Shows only

http://www.schmidag.com/cms/

if I Enter

http://www.schmidag.com/cms/login.php I see the Login-Page

My conf.inc.php looks fine according to all of the suggestions I've recieved, my path seems correct and I guess maybe what Pappnase suggested to monz about and FTP error might be the problem.

@pappnase
I will try clearing Everything and reinstalling tonight. I will post here if I have the same issue. I hope this fixes it. :(

@monz
Filezilla is good :) give it a go

sounds like a session problem or rights problem. I really don't know what problem it is.

Maybe send me login information - have you tested release 1.2.1?

To be clear, the version I am dealing with has been 1.2.1 this whole time. It may be a rights problem, I will check them once I am done with classes today :)
Session problem; I do not know what that means, but the problem duplicates on each computer i've tried.

create template and pagelayout and fill in content - then it will work.
