Work phpwcms in localhost

Post by Jakim José »

How to work in localhost?
I copied all files of the site for the "C:\Programas\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs\phpwcms" and imported the database through phpmyadmin.
What I have to modify?
Usually, I erase the username and password of the file that makes the linking to the database.

How I make here (in phpwcms)?

Personally I recommend http://www.easyphp.org/ - It's easy indeed, and it has cool admin panel where you can set aliases for your local webpages, so they can be in any folder on your hdd. This is apache+php+MySql, so everything you need to run phpwcms locally is included.

with this (easyphp), already is not necessary to install xampp, ImageMagick and GhostScript ?

if you use xampp this is quite enough ;-)
also in xampp there is GD so it's not really needed taht you install IM and GS.
