1.1.x Installation Help (Resolved)

Post by melek »

Alright, I have another question now.
I am installing 1.1.9-DEV. I have followed the specific permissions instructions for the 1.1.x release.

Here is the summary of the problem:
Image

I know I should Ignore the phpwcms_tmp, but what about the others?

Things I have done/can provide:
-I have changed permissions on the entire setup folder to 777. I'm not sure if these following problems are important.

-I have set the permissions for content/images, content/gt, and content/pages to 777, so I don't know if it matters that /content isn't 'writable' since these subfolders are. Is this just an artifact from the pre-dev version? That's my biggest question.

-My PHP settings can be found here: http://www.phoenixave.com/phpinfo.php. safe_mode is OFF, however register_globals is ON; I have contacted my Host in regard to changing this, (http://www.ipowerweb.com), but what if I cannot change it?
***Edit***My host changed my register_globals to OFF, so thats done :). I'm starting to believe my PHP settings don't matter, since I got no errors relating to the Database table creation.

Thank you :)

PS; A side question:
I cannot install ImageMagick or any other reccomended software because I am subscribed to a webhost rather than hosting myself. Will this prevent me from using important parts of the CMS? :(
