Let me in!

Post by Peekay »

The new web page at phpwcms.de promoting the forthcoming new version is very creative (nice photo) but I have to say that a small link in the text entitled 'Visit Old Project Site' is not likely to get many new people interested in PHPWCMS!

What it needs is...

Enter Site Here!

I agree that it makes the impression that the project is currently not available or something. "Old project site" sounds as if the version talked about there is a bit out of date. However it is the current project site, isn't it.
I also feel that The "old" project site should be made into actually being the "current" site which would mean just some simple updates: Add additional news item about the developoment of version 2 and update some links. That's all there is. I agree that the page you get at the moment at phpwcms.de gives a bit of a sad message. It feels, Oliver, like you are talking to some small club of insiders. However you should be talking to the world, especially those who come for the first time and show them that there is a great current version available and ready to work with, with a lively community to support and share.

Thanks for your good comment, Peekay.

I never was there long enought to be redirected

I just find the whole setup at the moment a bit misleasding. Just bring the "old site" up to date and it would be all fine: easily accessible, understandable and inviting to new users.
