File permission on a localhost using Apache, sql, PHP, WinXP

Hi everyone,
I'm running Apache Server, Mysql and PHP on a Windows XP.
I need to change file permission on localhost.
How is this done?

as far as I know file permission is only on unix systems! not on a windows server

Hi frold,

I installed the new release and the patch on my local server to test it.
Under Admin, when I click on page layout I get this error "error while listing pagelayouts" and no page layout is shown.
And when I click on templates, only a default template name is shown. But when I click on edit I get this error "error while listing pagelayouts" and no template is shown.

I thought maybe its because I didn't change file permission on localserver.

I did a clean install and it looks very nice.
