article summaries

No matter what I do I cannot get the articles to summarize.
Any ideas.

I have already set "top article count:5" and still I only get one full article.

Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?

still cannot get articles to show summaries with more link.

I have a page with an article and text in the summary field.
This is followed by a "add content part" and still everything shows up.
no "more" link

Should I give up and uninstall and reinstall again.

choose the sampel.tmpl for atricle listing! then you will see an more link!

read again the article doc! i have ad there the lines for template (only where you can choose and edit them). later at the layout section you will find an tut for how to edit templates.
