HELP!!! create new article dont work correctly

Post by a.cioffari »

hi!

I dont understand why:

create a new article, write some text in summary (in design modus), click on update article data and... THE TEXT IS NOT SAVED!!!

go to edit this article, and write some text in HTML mode, click on update article data and.... THE TEXT IS SAVED but when I go to edit THE TEXT AREA IS EMPTY!!!

note: the content parts for this article works ok

I deleted and created a new one, but the same problem, please help!!!

If using a firewall, try disabling it. Are you using one of the WYSIWYG editors? If so, perhaps you could try a different one?

guys... Im proud to say I FOUND THE PROBLEM!!!

I installed last weekend Norton SystemWorks, and the problem is when the programm Norton Password Manager runs you cannot add/edit

I closed it and now works like the first day

take note: if you have Norton Password Manager, quit before you want to add/edit content...

I have the same problem.
After saving the text in either html or design I can view the result.
This would mean that there is no 'writing' error?

it's only when I go back to the text to edit it that is is missing!!

I chmod 777 the complete site just to make sure it was not a priviledges issue.

are there any other suggestions as to what might be wrong??

Yes, but I had also turned that off.
it didn't make a difference

/content/gt
/content/pages

have 755 permissions as per instalation instructions, which means no 'write' permission

/content/images has 777

I can see you have made a test page but if I try to edit it the text has gone. both the html and design tabs are empty

Don't you have the same problem??
