help to format hd

help to format hd

Hey

I need to format at hdd on a computer and it have no flobby drive...

The problem is that the system have multible OS on it and I want to delete all of them and reinstall the system - but Im not able to do that because of a boot function it have and it make me :twisted:

So if anyone have a program I can burn down on cd-rom and boot on and then delete the whole harddisk - then plxz help and share it with me...

öhem man do I understand right ?
Your only problem is that you don't have a bootable CD or your problem is that if you delete any system the others are automatically booting ? cuz you can easily solve this by using your BIOS.

Yes I need a program that can format the hd because I can´t do that via the bios!?!

what for a pc you have that the hdd will format! :roll:

as brans say boot from cd win xp or win 2000 and format the hdd!

Yes I have tried that but because of a boot thing installed it will not let me do that. I can only install a new version - that´s the whole problem else there was no problem... :wink:

what in the hell is a boot thing!? :roll: :lol: delete all partitions!
fdisk /mbr kills the bootrecord

did you have only a old recovery cd?!

winxp will autoboot and within the install pre-checks it will ask you if you would like to format the HDD (if you do not want ot install winxp after that to don't have to)

now Im formating...I do as psouper told me via msnm.

I have made the hd slave on my other computer and then I format it and after that I will put it back.. hope this works...
