howto reset bios?

Post by frold »

Hey Nerd-friends :P

I have got a "new" computer from a friend a 500mhz PIII (I think) I would like to make to webserver. But first step is to "crack" the bios. The bios is password protected and we my friend do not remember the password!

Is there a way to force that and reach the bios?

If you need anymore information I will try to give them....

If you are going to install a windows operating system, you can usually boot from cd rom. It then ask's on witch partition you want to install if there is another windows system already on the HD. Just choose to delete the partition and make a new one. The HD will be formatted automaticly.

But the windows boot disk way works fine as well

(I installed windows server 2003 this way and it worked fine)
