Actually, I should rephrase my question:

Do subdirectories inherit the rewrite rules of the parent directory?

How can I configure RewriteEngine in .htaccess to not rewrite specific directories (I have other scripts running that I don't want their url's rewritten)?

I'm encountering errors while trying to create thumbnails in phpWCMS RC-4 June 28th version.

First, how can I determine if an image has a thumbnail for it?

When I click on "thumbnail" in Mozilla Firefox, I get stuck in a loop where the page that reads, "creating thumbnail, please wait" reloads ...

Would be great if there were a list available of the known bugs in the latest release. Would be really handy to keep this updated list as a 'pinned' topic in the Bugs forum, so that when someone discovers a bug, they'll know if it's already been discovered before they post about it.

In the backend, under "ADMIN", there is an option in the left navigation called, "file categories". You can go there and create file categories.

To the right of an existing category, there is a "+" symbol, and when you click on it, it takes you to a screen that allows you to assign a key to that ...

Can someone please explain what is a key for a file category?

I get an error when I click on the + symbol to add a key to an existing file category:

I think "Error" is the default text which is displayed if there is no article contained in that structure level. Is there any article residing in this structure level? If not, create an article in that structure level and try again.
