I'm absolutley new to this system and from what i've seen it really looks like something i'd like to learn.
I've seen many beautiful sites in the "sites you are proud of" thread and i'm a bit confused now, when i've installed the system and start i don't have any start layout at all.. just ...

Since i'm new to this system i have no clue where to start making a custom layout, is it all done through th eadmin control panel? or is it through some template files?
I'd very much like to start with something like your site hendrik.
