I know this post is not really phpwcms support, is an experiment i like to get. Would like to give visitors the posibility to "tell a friend" about the site. For this i get the user mail, user name, friends mail adresses. User should be able to write a little text or let a standar one. Don't know if someone could help me a little bit to go on

im trying to make a "tell a friend" function box... but i got a little bit lost. Someone made already something in this direction?

I'm not as experienced programming ... the actual version of the module is under http://www.mediartistes-asso.fr/tellafriend.html. I don't know how to continue...
1 should eb able to add mails without loosing previous
2 should communicate with the phpmail for sending

I hope someone is also interested on that feature and knows a little bit better. Thks in advance,

The user should be able to send a mail to a friend in which the url of/to the actual content part is shown.... better it is, when the recipient get's an email like an e-card. The "tell-a-friend"-button will be placed at the bottom of the preview image of a gallery....

Is this possible? And if yes, how?

Fiddle together the following:
Subject: text field
Name: text field
Email: email field
Notice: text area field
Captcha-Img:...
Captcha-input: ...
Send: ...

You will see: You can select from = form-email, subject= form-subject...
at the bottom you choose the place holders for the email content...
If you want to have the page title sent as subject: http://forum.phpwcms.org/viewtopic.php? ... e+in+email

Perhaps you can even choose a hidden field and send {CONTENT} (never tried...)

At the very bottom you can put together your mail content - look at the pulldown boxes with the placeholders and then you'll get something like that:

It must be "http://domain.de/index.php?link_to_wher ... nt_to_show"
