...hey guys, Fulvio here chilling in the sun of brazil, near Fortaleza. The place is wonderful and the temperature's honestly warm. I will be here for around 3 weeks to have my first holidays since 2002....

...and with my laptop on...

...question for brazilians - i need to send mail - which SMTP server should i use to send mail since my normal addresses are not relayed?

Hi Fulvio,

after some asking home

you can... ask your local cybercafe what ISP they're using, the most comon are:
- UOL (aol brazil -> smtp.uol.com.br)
- Terra (Telefonica in brazil -> http://centraldoassinante.terra.com.br/ ... scape6.htm
they've a system like:
smtp.xyz.terra.com.br where "xyz" is the local operator for Terra, in your case fo ? fr ? for fortaleza)
otherwise try with same but instead of smtp put relay.blabla

Check in fortaleza area the most common ones (fortalnet seems to be known pretty well).
Does your friend (if ur'e staying at his/her place doesn't know his provider?

Anyway in the cybercafe, you ask:

qual proveedor vocé utiliza?
o endereço smtp do proveedor?
