How can I change the Left Column Height adjustment...My problem is clear on http://www.lpwv.org

The problem I am having is, I want the left BG Color to go all the way between the header and footer...

Please help on this...

U cant do this easily in the Frontend setup: Layouts?

Didn't think so...I will just overflood my left with alot of content...That will take care of it on most pages of my site...
