Greetings,
Putting the final hand to this site I've been migrating since a while now, from PhpWebSite to Oliver's
PhpWCMS (of course)
Before going live, I would appreciate if the community
would:
01. take the time to download some files from the site, so I can validate some countries' extension, for Neelix's great enhancements to the DownloadCounter Mod.
You will be able to monitor the Download stats, down on home page.
02. give feedback on access time.
How is the access time from Europe and other countries?
http://www.aetmis.gouv.qc.ca/sitedevelop
Quick stats:
... 433 files
... 625 pages (overall)
... 420 pages activated
... 4000 + content parts
... 150 + Alias
... All pages and sections are set to use the default cache: 14400
Note: I am using:
Pepe's script for language switch
Neelix' {DOWNLOADSALL} DownloadCounter greatly enhanced
JensZ' {TEASER_EX}
Icedblind' hack to the Search function
Hope I did not forgot anyone else other cool feature...?
Theming is quite limited.
I had to stick to: white background (Québec's Governmental Norms)
and the top banner (only the image is editable)
Officially going live: 2005.12.14-15
Thank you for your time
Cheers,

I have the feeling that in the future we will need to reconsider the space
reserved for the
alias ID: digits:
As this new site will grow and grow...
I have been making uses and even
abuses of this now great and famous
contentpart alias

Hi StudioZ,
Very nice site, congratulations!
In the news yesterday, I have learned that the Ministry of on-line government of Québec does not respect deadlines and costs exceeds previsions by 15 M$... Is this your fault?
http://www.radio-canada.ca/nouvelles/Po ... igne.shtml

Salut Dernier_Recours
Hey! Thanks
I didn't heard about these latest news yet.
YOU are my Québec's RSS Feed. Thanks!
I took the time to read it. Very interesting.
I know there is still a lot of development around Microsoft solutions
going on in Québec, and, to my opinion... this is probably where the extra
costs are going. Take it as my own evaluation. Although... I know there is
also a small community who is fighting to have Québec Government go the OpenSource road. Back in 2002, I had the first three OpenSource websites online for the Québec Governement. These were running PhpWebSite. The AETMIS project was the last one, and... the biggest one I had to migrate to PhpWCMS. I don't think I will ever do any other project like this one anymore. This is really too demanding.
The Québec Government (us, the society) has sincerly a lot to gain at
adopting powerfull solution such as PhpWCMS
À bientôt...
Yves
