Mod_Rewrite on dedicatet Server .and. others

Hi !
Just scrolling through this forum, knowing lots of threats abt. this apache mod. Googling around and found this (german based) http://www.modrewrite.de ...
My problem was a server error when switching mod on and a disappearing .htaccess file
First of all I found this mod site is PHPWCMS based
Since reading issues inside their forum i think everything relatet to this mod is explained.
Pretty good to know.
