i used the content part "article menu" as an overview/archive of all
articles in my category "news".
Is there any ability to add automatically the creation-date in front of the article headlines?

Maybe it's crude... BUT,
For placement of date BEFORE title
you could put the reptag:

{DATE_ARTICLE}

-in-
article title:

-OR-

To just precede the article "content parts":

-in-
subtitle:
