I have installed everything but get the message:

We are sorry!

For service reasons the system is temporarily not attainable.

Visit us later again!

When I try the index.php or login.php page. What might cause this?
I'm running on linux/apache/mysql. I've checked the phpwcms database but there are no tables installed. Is there a script somewhere to install a table into the database?

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi

check your Databases ettings - this means that your installation cannot connect to your Database

I'm having the same problem... Where should I check the database settings? (I'm using 1.2.5-DEV.)

Hi dusty,

look into your conf.inc.php:

// database values
$phpwcms["db_host"] = "localhost";
$phpwcms["db_user"] = "";
$phpwcms["db_pass"] = "";
$phpwcms["db_table"] = "";
$phpwcms["db_prepend"] = "";
$phpwcms["db_pers"] = 1;

Adjust these settings to your needs...

OK, got it. I was trying to manually fill out the config file. For someone having the same problem, here is what I did:

Created and named a mySQL database.

Opened a browser and navigated to setup/setup.php

Fill out the database details and checked "create all db tables:" Everthing else I left the defaults.

Hopefully this will help the next confused newbie!
