Hi,

when I want to insert a new WYSIWG-Part of an article I got no WYSIWG-Bar to change text and all the stuff. I got the bar only in the IE, not in Firefox or Opera. Can anybody help?

that is tricky indeed.

You have to choose which Browser you will use for editing and then need to change the right editor in "conf.in.php"-file.

As an dream would be to edit these values in backend so you can switch online fast and easy.

v2 = i believe first when i see and work with it.

But is that really a solution? The CMS is used by many different people. Do I really havte to say "You only can use WYSIWG-HTML-Articles with the (for example) IE"?

What Browser are you using normally?

There are several WYSIWYG Editors inside the Script!!!

If you are using ff, change the selected Editor to an other one inside the conf.inc.php

.....and you will get your WYSIWYG Contentpart Editor!!!

Hmm... I don`t understand......ok...

I`m using FF normally. So I put that in the conf.inc.php and than I get my WYSIWYG Contentpart Editor....ok wonderful.

So what happens to a user that uses IE? What will he see? Nothing, like me before I changed the conf.inc.php?

Hmmm........scheinbar habe ich mich etwas falsch ausgedrückt, sorry. Also ich habe heute mit einem Firefox auf einem anderen System auf LINGUA zugegriffen, und da ging die WYSIWG-Leiste in phpwcms. Also ist das wohl eine Problem mit einer lokalen Einstellung in meinem Firefox?

War nur froh, daß es wohl doch nicht an phpWCMS liegt!
So etwas kann einen schon "kirre" machen, wenn die Kiste nicht ans "Rennen" kommt.

Da ich grundsätzlich für die Eingabe IE verwende und nur mit FF konttroliere, hab ich dein Problem nicht... und lebe gut damit

Warum soll ich IE auch nicht verwenden... hab ich doch bezahlt

Und meine Meinung zum Browser... nicht der Bessere setzt sich durch, sondern der Marktführer... das war schon immer so... glaubs mir, ich kämpfe schon seit mehr als 30! Jahre mit und gegen die Computer... hab's noch nicht anders erlebt.
Das liegt einfach an der trägen Masse, der "normalen" User, die bewegst du nicht vom Hintern!

Das ist alles schön und gut, aberich habe für mein Betriebssystem nicht bezahlt .... ich nutze Linux Und dafür gibt es afaik noch keinen Internet Explorer....ok, Crossover-Office...Wine....etc. Aber es IST ja definitiv möglich Firefox mit phpwcms (und der ausreichend jetzt bemühten WYSIWG-Leiste) zu bedienen....jetzt brauche ich nur noch jemanden, der mir sagen kann, was ich in MEINEM Firefox ändern/einstellen muss......helft mir Obi-Wan-Kenobi....ihr seid meine letzte Hoffnung

der FCK funktioniert einwandfrei im Firefox - wenn das bei dir nicht der Fall ist, stimmt mit deinem Firefox irgendwas nicht. Bitte auch dran denken, dass für die Ausführung Javascript notwendig ist - also mal prüfen, ob bei deinem Linux Java/Javascript installiert und funktionsfähig ist.
Es gibt andere WYSIWYG Editoren, die auf Windows-API Funktionen zurückgreifen, die gehen aber nur unter WINDOOFS.

Ob es an deinem Browser oder an der phpWCMS installation liegt, kannst du dadurch überprüfen, dass du http://www.hdk-online.de/include/inc_ex ... e01.phpauf die Homepage von FCK gehst - da gibt es eine Online-Demo. Wenn du sehen wills wie der FCK innerhalb von phpWCMS funktioniert dann geh mal dahin

ps. ich arbeite fast nur mit dem FF und prüfe dann im IE
