Looking for (semi) professional template designers

I am looking for (semi) professional template designers!

The good thing about phpWCMS is, it is relatively easy to use, but the lack of templates hinders a lot. As a web developer / designer I know that template work is cumbersome and time consuming, so I believe a template store will help people with good graphic skills to get some return of investment, and it will help web programmers with less graphic skills to create better and faster results.

I have a business model, based on phpWCMS, and therefore I invite good graphic designers with adequate phpWCMS skills to join and create templates based on phpWCMS.

Besides of offering templates to my customers, they shall be retailed as usual template artwork to other phpWCMS developers / users. And besides of this I see the need for further adaptation work preferably by template authors to meet customer requirements, which will generate additional income to designers.

If you are interested to know more, please send me a Private Message.

Hi Ron,

I tried to start templates but had no time enough to continue...
My idea was giving them for free away.
The link (I tried but still WIP) http://www.memoire-meyer.be

Anyway, I'd be glad to help if needed (but time is a b*tch) and a lot of pple here have the skills to help you out, just that there has been no SITE/INTERFACE/ORGANIZED METHOD to post or contribute... Pepe has done his thing, another post also about templates (2 or 3 very basic templates) but else... nada... so if u have the energy time to organize that I'd be delighted to contribute.

Cheers

couldn't the site admin here just put up a "templates" forum?

hell, if you guys want i can put up a quick bulletin board and even run it from home, so there would be no overhead, or i have other sites i could put it up on. just tell me about how big the total files would be.

tell me what forum you would want to use, phpbb, simple, etc and i am game and will offer it up from at the very least my home server.

Hi Bob
if you want I can create a template forum on the following site, it is also directly related to phpWCMS

If done, sign me in!
I've even bought a domain for publishing but as said above, no time yet... (and feeling alone EVEN if I know I'm not, cfr. this post ;)

I could put a site there and activate as many admin accounts as needed.
I've even worked on some basic layout to show the templates, so we could use the forum to exchange and the site to show what they look like?

Cheers
EDITED: things are moving, more info later on...

Hi Kosse
that sounds like a good idea.. :-)
I will create a forum link on the dev site for the template discussion and we can then refer to your site for the demos

Perfect,

I'll buy* the storage (1,5GB diskspace, 15 Mysql accounts), as for today, think we can expect it to be ready in two or three days.

Will be hosted @ infomaniak.ch :

Code: Select all

	Disk space 1.5 GB
	Traffic 120 GB
	FTP 50
	E-mails 1'200
	PHP 4.3.2
	Perl 5.6
	CGI
	MySQL 4.x 15
	PHPMyAdmin
Only not-so-cool thing about that hosting: no imagemagick (GD2 supported) What do you think about it?

Cheers

*It's ok, 10 EUR a month, I can pay that :P

damn, that was fast. this is a very proactive forum, nice to see ;)

that server package sure does have some nice specs - 120GB/mo, nice.

let me know how i can help. today i need to go to my family's for thanksgiving (or more realistically, imo, it should be called the raping of an indigenous peoples land and natural resources, i am not a fan of this holiday) so i won't be around much....
