just wanted to show off as well : http://www.sofiyainc.com/ :)
the text on "our art" page is still lacking, though.

the idea was to make a clean and simple design, so that the artist himself would be the focal point of the site :)

any comments, please?

Very nice!

There is one little mistake in your rollovers: They have a one or two px vertical line on the left side that is to long.

In "Contact us" I'd reduce the images "letter" and "fax" in size. And a mistake: The fax image is not round but cutted.

But in sum it's a very nice design.

Looks nice and if I would change something it would be:
  • 1. Generally a bit more contrast (darker green? bold titles?)
    2. Adjust the link colour to the curved decoration line under the logo
    3. Choose rather a menu than links to display the items under "Our Art"
    4. Guestbook idem as menu rather than as a link under "contact us"
is this stuff expensive? The mirrors look amazing!

Cheers Pierre

navi too big
site scales well
valid css
invalid html (11-)
i'd get rid of that animation! when you've got a contact-page, why show the tel. at home?
i'd display the logo in the top navi-bar
i'd ad some space between navi and body
guestbooks should not require email.
what the heck?
Fax
847-XXX-XXXX
contact-page icons do not fit style
----"------ message field is to small
i can confirm the pixel-error

all-in-all: i like the style a lot.
very nice font-combo!!
pulchritudinous

Nice little site...

But you should put somewhere in your credits a thank you to JayKay (the top level navigation) --> he gave that as a template for free but asked pple to name him, at least in code you could put the credits.
the idea was to make a clean and simple design
We all inspire ourselves with what we see, no problem, but if he gave his template (he called it plain v1.0) and asked just to mention him...

No hard feelings but fair is fair right? ;)

Looks nice. I would agree with the comment on contrast though. Commercial sites are often a bit more bold to catch the eye. But, it all depends on what the client wants...

Cheers,
